I am an Age-Group Athlete who has been participating in triathlons since 2010, including Ironman Lake Tahoe, Vineman Full, Honu 70.3, Boise 70.3, Lake Stevens 70.3 and the Los Angeles Marathon. I ran track and cross country in high school, then took a short hiatus from running after high school to focus on cycling. I completed my first triathlon in 2010. I had no idea what I was getting myself into or that this would turn into my passion. While training for triathlons over the past 3 years, I also pursued culinary school at Cascade Culinary Institute as a way to feed the machine we call our bodies. This has helped perform better in races and training. I am certified as a USAT Level I Coach and a USA Cycling Level 3 Coach. As a coach, I pride myself with constant, open, and consistent communication with my clients, which in turn helps them reach their goals by implementing correct periodization techniques throughout each training block. I believe that the mind and the athlete's way of thinking has just as much of an effect on racing as does the physical training we do. My goal is to help my clients succeed by discovering ways to help them break through the mental side of training by giving them workouts that are challenging on the body and mind but also that they are able to achieve.
