Where does your confidence come from?

No one is just born with it, so what can we do to cultivate it?

And no, it’s not related to the size or shape of your body, it’s something SO much more!

From my experience it’s about keeping promises to myself!

Setting small goals to better myself, crushing them and then building higher each time!

That’s actually a good thing!

Slow steady process is actually the ideal timing for weight loss.

You are more likely to keep weight off, when you have lost it in a slow sustainable way!

So stop being upset you aren’t losing 10lbs overnight, trust the process, you’ll get there!

Upset you gained the weight you lost back?

Unfortunately, this is not uncommon. Many people that embark on a diet for weight loss often struggle to keep that weight off, after they have lost it.

More often than not, people don’t just regain what they lost, they actually gain more!

So why does this happen?

It starts with the original diet.

Likely, that diet was too extreme. It failed to reach you healthy, sustainable eating patterns.

Anyone can drastically cut their calories and lose weight (it’s simple math) but few people really stop to learn about how we need to properly fuel our bodies. It is not a simple equation but instead a complex & intertwined relationship that needs to be understood.

If we fail to fuel & nourish our bodies, it will react in ways we don’t expect. Such as intense cravings and inability to adhere to our diet.

Health is a LIFESTYLE, not a 12 week program.

If you are enlisting the help of a coach, they should help you to understand the ways in which our bodies process nutrients and what the require to optimally function.

They should be educating you on health that is sustainable for a lifetime and not prescribing you a quick fix to drop 20lbs.

Weight loss isn’t about losing weight.

It’s about GAINING life!

Don’t you want to gain confidence?

The ability to feel great in whatever you want to wear?

To feel confident when you walk into a room?

To be in control of the foods you eat?

To feel like anything is possible?

So let’s stop thinking about weight loss as a loss, and think about it as something you add to enrich your life!

Which meal are you more likely to skip?

Breakfast… lunch… dinner?

One of the most common skipped meals is breakfast— because you aren’t hungry 1st thing and Lunch— because you are too busy and forget to eat!

While skipping meals might seem like an easy way to save a few calories… don’t do it, it’s a trap!

More often than not, we end up over consuming at the meal after, because we’re STARVING & we underestimate the caloric value of what we’re eating.

So do yourself a favor and stay well fed over the course of the day!

One of my favorite, quick, easy, go to meals is Go to snacks is this Chickpea salad (with lots of dill of course!), Nut Thins, and a juicy cutie!

The Chickpea salad I pre make and keep in my fridge so it’s ready when I need a quick meal!

It’s filled with good, hearty, whole nutrients, is quick & delicious!

Lose 20lbs in a month!

Yeah, that’s probably not going to happen 🤷🏼‍♀️

Most often people fail at their weight loss goals because they aren’t being realistic enough.

Did you gain 50lbs in 2 months?

Probably not, so dont expect to lose it in that same time frame.

Often we quit far too soon, because we are discouraged… ultimately we have set unrealistic goals, and we have failed before we have even begun.

Be realistic about yourself, the time you have to commit to something new, your current habits.

Make small, attainable goals. Crush them and then build upon that.

If we do not create healthy sustainable habits, we will never lose the weight & keep it off!
