She didn’t complain.
She didn’t quit.
She led with gratitude and took action.

Y’all, parenting teens while teaching real-life accountability is a whole ministry in itself. 😅

But moments like this? Absolutely worth it.

I can’t wait for her to see her surprise on her vanity in the morning.❤️❤️

A Day in the Life of a Certified Custom Blend Artist + Mom of a Teenager:

My sweet oldest daughter came to me recently for a newly blended foundation and concealer after her April blend from last year finally ran out.

At the time, she went above and beyond, way past her normal chores, to earn that blend.

Fast forward…

She accidentally spilled her brand-new bottle inside her makeup bag. 😩

So naturally, she came back to me asking if I could replace it.

I told her:

“You’re going to start blending foundations as a side hustle or bring in referrals as an apprentice to earn commissions, so you can cover your refills, your hair appointments with me, and build real business, leadership, and organizational skills that will serve you long-term.”

Her response?

“I’ve been trying to send people to you… they just haven’t committed yet.”

👀

So now I’m curious…

What would YOU do?

A.) Replace the foundation, as accidents happen
B.) Wait until she does the work to cover her expenses
C.) Split the cost this time and hold the boundary going forward
D.) Something else… (tell me in the comments)

Because parenting teens while raising capable, accountable adults is… an art form.🤦🏾‍♀️🤣
