Why get a comprehensive ADHD Assessment?

ADHD is a challenging diagnosis to make, since everyone has at least some of the symptoms while some people have them so chronically and severely that their lives are in total chaos. Most people fall somewhere in the middle of the spectrum, and it can be very difficult to determine whether their symptoms are caused by ADHD or something else. It can also be hard to know whether to think about these symptoms as a kind of neurodiversity that brings at least as many benefits as frustrations, or as a psychiatric diagnosis that might benefit from treatment.

Whereas many assessments employ excessive testing that can be overly time consuming and expensive without adding much to clarify a diagnosis like this, or are so light and quick that they risk misdiagnosis, Dr. MacEachron uses his clinical experience and carefully selected diagnostic measures to provide a comprehensive assessment that can be completed in a timely fashion.

A comprehensive and ethical ADHD assessment is not designed to rope you in to an expensive treatment program, or to upsell you on any other services. As a psychologist, Dr. MacEachron does not provide any medication, just as unbiased and professional a diagnostic assessment as he can make.

A letter of diagnosis or a comprehensive report can help you access services if your symptoms are in the clinical/medical range and require treatment or accommodations.
