This month, we feature NCCGAPNA member Rebecca (Becky) Spear, DNP, ARNP, AGPCNP-C, who sought out experiences working with older adults while pursuing her undergraduate studies in psychology. She works on an interdisciplinary team in a skilled nursing department and will bring her "experience in skilled nursing to successfully bridge patients back to the outpatient setting." She is passionate about GAPNA, taking an active role as NCCGAPNA Secretary. She also has an active lifestyle, crewing for her husband's hot air balloon company and completing half and full marathons! She provides home-based palliative care for frail older adults. She enjoys helping people navigate through a complex health system. Deborah is also a leader on multiple committees and advocates for older adults and their families in the political arena.
