Roe v wade was overturned. Lots of feelings, mostly disbelief.

Unlike the laws put on our bodies written into thin air, ~~choice~~ & pregnancy release will never cease to exist.

If you or anyone you know lives in an area that has been deeply affected by this, you can message me for support or head to the link in my bio for a list of birth resources including information on herbal and at-home pregnancy release.

✨ New illustration set out! ✨ 42 Weeks of Fetal Development ✨ The process that may lead to the birth of a new little human begins all the way to the start of someone’s last menstrual cycle. In this illustration set, we show what changes week by week from that point all the way to what sometimes extends to 42 weeks of growth!
The Educated Birth Shop exists to equip expecting parents for well-informed and empowering pregnancy, birth and more by equipping reproductive health workers with high-quality, easy to learn from, visually engaging reproductive health education materials.

Please help to keep Doulas in hospitals, supporting birthing people, and helping to better both physical and mental birth outcomes.

Email your local state government and tell them why you want Doulas allowed in all hospitals statewide!

Not sure who to email or what to say? DM me for more information!

Repost from using repost_now_app - This is BIRTH UNDISTURBED. 🌹🙏🏽

Dear Melanated siStar,

I HONOR YOU.
I RESPECT YOU.
I LOVE YOU.
The way you feel about your birth MATTERS.
THIS IS YOUR SACRED INITIATION.
Don't let anyone take that from you.

I share empowering birth stories, provide holistic prenatal and postpartum support, raise awareness about obstetric violence and provide impactful solutions for you to navigate your pregnancy, birth and postpartum journey in the most FEARLESS of ways because it is the best way to ensure your survival. 🙏🏾✊🏾👶🏽🤰🏽

The maternal mortality amongst US is literally a STATE OF EMERGENCY...and it is imperative for me to be a catalyst for this paradigm shift as someone on the frontline of the birthing community. In New York, where I reside, being 12 times more likely to die during childbirth than European wombmen is not a mistake...it only serves as proof of how much those in power truly want to eradicate us by any means necessary. I know this too well and stand in unapologetic truth as I expose this diabolical agenda on this platform.
I normally get "shadowbanned" but, that doesn't stop me. (Follow me on Twitter 👉🏽 for more radical content).

We MUST take back birth.
We MUST birth at home if we can.
We MUST reclaim our divine right to bodily AUTONOMY.
We Must also equip ourselves with life saving knowledge in order to advocate for ourselves when we choose to give birth in places that weren't designed to protect us, unless we know our rights as human beings - NATURAL LAW.
You can DM me for more details on how to obtain a copy of the Rights Over My Birth legal package that I created for you to effectively and legally navigate the medical system while giving birth. ✊🏽

May this page inspire your paradigm shift, allowing you to explore all birthing options available to you. 🙏🏽💕

Repost from using - “Birth is a moment, postpartum is forever.” I started saying this to clients and to anyone who’d listen the more I worked with people postpartum. We create birth plans and go over coping mechanisms and have baby showers and sip and sees, but what do we do to honor, witness, hold, and support the person who gives birth? How do we honor the non-gestational parent? How do we honor older siblings?
Whole Body Pregnancy Postpartum Training is rooted in ritual and ceremony and honoring. It’s the reclamation of what we know in our bones and an honoring of the traditions that live within each of us. This self-paced, pre-recorded offering is a series of videos, meditations, ritual creating, recipe making, written lessons, journal reflections, self-exploration, and discovery, and live Q&As. This offering into the postpartum is just as much a discovery of oneself as it is training to serve folks who are postpartum.

Guest Teachers will be announced in February and March - The portal opens in May 2021. Registration is open now.

The price for this offering is $450. For BIPOC, Q***r and Marginalized folks with financial need the price is $225. Payments can be made in installments but must be paid in full before class begins to have access to the material. A workbook will be mailed to participants once full payment is made. This workbook is designed to be a journal for each participant as well as serve as the template for your own postpartum offerings for clients.

“As I continue to learn I am forever grateful for language that encompasses the ideas and beliefs I hold, giving me a richer vocabulary to share my message and experiences.

As part of our learning and unlearning we need to become acquainted with Decolonising methodology. We need to acknowledge the reach and harmful nature of colonisation in the dismantling, distorting and dehumanising of indigenous and First Nations culture, laws and power.

The way in which the birthing landscape is affected and contaminated by colonialism is an issue far beyond what I have been able to capture here but I hope it can trigger further discussion and add to the momentum in the long needed conversation and action towards securing culturally safe and respective birth spaces.

Thank you to for helping expand my language on the issues of racism and giving shape to ideas that have been collecting in my head for a long long time.

Tekie xx”

Becoming pregnant and giving birth changed my life. I love talking and geeking out about all things birth now when before this, I knew absolutely nothing. I want to keep this page a compilation of all my passions and an expression for those passions in any moment I may feel like, so I’m going to start taking up space here in the way of birth and reproductive education & justice. Idk why I feel like I need to tell you this, I just have so much in my mind and oddly enough social media helps me to organize it all. Leo Sun, Gemini Rising, Cancer Moon over here so you know I’m packed full of different sides and faces that I just want to share with the world. I’d love for Demeter Rising to be everything I am, so get ready for some birth lovin’ Doula posts at least once a week 💛 beautiful art by .chicago

Repost from using - Midwife = medical care
Doula = support and education

A midwife is similar to a doctor or OB.

A doula is like your best friend who is on-call 24/7, doesn’t leave your side during birth, and won’t judge your choices.

Gender reveal parties are so lame. End the obsession with children’s s*x organs, ok thx!

Repost from *xual - Stop assuming kids are Hetero Cis Gender.

Especially here on Indigenous Land that was home to a multitude of cosmic, sacred gender and s*xual orientation systems that did not need boring Western constructs.

Resistance to Western constructs and reclamation of identity is also acknowledging that gender and s*xual variance is Indigenous to this Land.

WHEN A CARE PROVIDER CENTERS POSTPARTUM CARE, THEY ARE CENTERING THE WELL BEING OF THE BIRTHING PERSON! This is a must.

Repost from -It is time we give postpartum AND THE BIRTHERS the attention and preparation deserved. And when I say this, I mean more than the mood disorders (which are still extremely important). There are so many components to the process.
