financial, etc. ALL ARE WELCOME. THIS PAGE IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. IT IS NOT A CLOSED GROUP. IF I CLOSE IT., NO ONE WILL FIND IT. I started this page on FB because through the years I have met so many women in churches and christian circles who have or are currently suffering some form of abuse from their husbands, or fellow brothers in the Lord, or their sons, or their employers, or their own family and friends perhaps. The root of much of the abuse seems to be a misunderstanding (in my humble opinion) of what the exact role is of a christian women is. There seems to be so much intimiidatiion, such control exerted over these women as they struggle to find their own voice and place in God and the body of Christ.I have seen women yelled at, spoken over, threatened, given the "evil eye," for speaking up or out of line?I have seen women be a prisoner in their own home. I have seen men go to the extreme as to board up the windows in a home and lock up his wife so that she may never leave him, nor be influenced by the outside world, or get the much needed support she does need. I have seen so many confident, self assured, beautiful, loving women lose their confidence as they are repeatedly beaten down, and made to feel nbad about themselves. All as a way of keeping control of the owmen and its all out of FEAR the man has of her inteliigence, or strength, or wisdom, or gifts God gave her. All of this behavior stems from deep seated fear men have of womens strength. It amazes me that even in 2011 and in America we still have a long way to go as far as womens right and equal pay, and no discrimination. It is my belief and the word of God confirms it that God Himself said that He is no respector of person.Galatians 3:28
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus." And Jesus came to set the captives free. Paul blasted the Galations saying'[a]You foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as crucified? 2 This is the only thing I want to find out from you: did you receive the Spirit by the works of [b]the Law, or by [c]hearing with faith? 3 Are you so foolish? Having begun [d]by the Spirit, are you now [e]being perfected by the flesh? 4 Did you [f]suffer so many things in vain—if indeed it was in vain? 5 So then, does He who provides you with the Spirit and works [g]miracles among you, do it by the works of [h]the Law, or by [i]hearing with faith. There is a freedom in the spirit and the law of the spirit of Christ Jesus has set us free from the law of sin and death. I can relate to the women I have described. I was once one of them.I made it through with the help of the Lord and good, strong, christian friends who tooka stand with me against sin. I am free now and God has blessed me with such a heart from other women who I meet and see daily. many are not christains, biut so many walking wounded women in this world bearing what I believe is the brunt of the "orginial sin," in the Garden Of Eden. Oh yes, It is Eve I am referring to. I am not a homosexual. I am a sister in the lord who wants to helps others find their voice, their gifts, their freedom in the spirit. It is my belief that Jesus was the atonement for our sin. because He took our sin and the original curse upon himself, I believe women were given their equal status again. I am not a Jezebel, I love the Lord with all my heart and only want to help and comfort others and show them they too, can find Giod doesn not want to them to be abused in any way. Whether it is physical, emotional, mental abuse, finances, family, friends, kids witheld from them, it is all wrong, and not reflective at all of Gods pure, unconditional love for us. I do believe in mutual love, respect and submission in a loving, caring, relationship betwenn a christian wife and husband but I believe the wife should have an equal say in matters of the home, family, marriage, etc. We must all learn healthier ways to communicate, and to value one another, and respect one another and to follow the golden rule, treat others as you would like to be treated. After all, God will not be mocked, For whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap.Pastor Kathleen A.
