To all the Veterans who’ve served and to the families who have stood beside them through deployments, homecomings, and new beginnings, thank you.

“Surrender To The Flow” After hours of hip squeezes and shower support, we transitioned to this moment of shared strength. 💕

After kneeling beside the shower for a couple of hours, supporting this mama as she moved from early labor into true, active labor, mooing like the powerful mama warrior she is 🐮💪, things began to move quickly.

Active labor picked up so fast in the shower that shortly before this photo was taken, Abby was checked and was 6–7 cm’s which nurse Annie used her hands to show us that Abby was now 6 to 7 cm which had us all laughing, 😂😂😂since we’d joked earlier about “six seven” while explaining its meaning to nurse Annie, who had no kids. This kept the mood light and airy and funny.😄

Sweet nurse Annie offered me a dry pair of scrubs after my shower support marathon and then jumped right in to take a turn doing hip squeezes, while I wrapped my arms around this incredible woman in a moment of calm and connection. 🤍

This is what teamwork in birth looks like — when doulas and nurses work hand in hand, mothers feel it. ✨

After hours of hip squeezes and shower support, we transitioned to this moment of shared strength. 💕

After kneeling beside the shower for a couple of hours, supporting this mama as she moved from early labor into true, active labor, mooing like the powerful mama warrior she is 🐮💪! Things began to move quickly.

Active labor picked up so fast in the shower that shortly after this photo was taken, she was already 6–7 cm… which had us all laughing, when nurse Annie did the check & said she’s 6 to 7 using her hands to show us 6_7! 😂😂😂since we’d joked earlier about “six/ seven” explaining to nurse Annie who had no children exactly what that meant. 😄

You know it’s been a long shift when your hair’s a little wild, your heart’s a little full, and the nurse is still cracking jokes, 13 hours in. 💗💫😎

Thirteen hours beside one incredible mama… and a dream team that worked together every step of the way.
When doulas and medical staff connect, the energy in the room changes. Calm replaces chaos, and moms feel truly supported.
This is what bridge-building in birth work looks like. 💕

Teamwork like this makes everything smoother — for the mama, for the birth, for the whole vibe.
Because when doulas and nurses build bridges, mamas feel supported… and that’s what it’s all about.

As I was heading out after 13 beautiful hours, while mama & daddy stayed behind in their room, soaking in those first sacred moments with their precious baby. 🥳
That’s the image I carried with me out of St. Luke’s Hospital in Denver, gratitude in my heart for Dr. Breeden and Nurse Annie (who was, obviously, the best!). 🙌

🌟 Sometimes the sweetest moments are the ones we don’t even plan like matching sweatshirts that say it all. 💕 Parenthood is full of surprises, and I love celebrating every little one with the families I serve. Follow along for more real, unfiltered moments of love, laughter, and support. ✨
