Gladstone Speech is a boutique private practice in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area. Our team of Speech-Language Pathologists evaluate and treat:
-children with speech and language disorders and delays
-children and adults with oral-motor and myofunctional disorders
Offering our services virtually! We hold Certificates of Clinical Competence through the American Speech-Language- Hearing Association (ASHA), and are licensed in Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia.

Believe it or not, this is the same client! Same same, but PROGRESS πŸ’ͺ🏻

When we met this young man, his tongue was quite restricted and could not rest on the palate or move well when eating/drinking. With our awesome collaboration with .ericdmv , we worked together to improve our client’s tongue mobility with weekly pre-op , followed by a & weekly post-op therapy. He now rests his tongue fully on the palate and eats and drinks without compensations! πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

😬 TMJ disorders are a tricky array of symptoms, including: clenching/grinding teeth; jaw/facial pain; difficulty opening/closing the mouth, and many more.

Myofunctional therapy can help retrain the facial muscles. Easing tension and correcting tongue, lip and jaw placement and mobility will help in reducing symptoms and preventing further problems from arising.

**TMJ typically needs a team approach, so working with other providers will help the client best succeed with their goals**
