I Had to Refund $12,000 When I Only Had $1,200 (My Hair Business Horror Story)
Let me tell you my horror story. I had to give back $12,000... when I only had $1,200 to my name!!
A year or two before Hair Maiden India became what it is today, I placed an order from India. What I got back was HORRIBLE. And when I say horrible — I mean horrible.
I had a client who trusted me. And the hair I delivered was not what I promised. So what did I do?
I gave her back $12,000.
The problem? I only had $1,200 at that point. I was DONE. Financially, emotionally — done.
But I stood on business. Because that's what you do when you're building something real. You don't cut corners. You don't blame the client. You eat the loss and you learn.
And you know what? She came back. YEARS later — she came back.
