丹田 • In Chi Kung, the most powerful state is also the most subtle: relaxed yet aware. The body softens, posture opens, muscles release tension — yet the mind remains centered and attentive. This balance is rooted in the dan tian 丹田, the body’s core energy center, where power gathers and flows. Mastering this paradox — calm yet aware — allows energy to move freely, creating strength, balance, and internal power. Simple in theory, it’s one of the hardest things for students to truly embody. Many practitioners struggle to feel both deep relaxation and mindful awareness at the same time — this is considered an advanced state in Chi Kung.

Energy is always moving, even when we don’t notice it. Small shifts — breath, posture, intention — can open pathways, release tension, and restore balance. Healing isn’t something that happens to you — it starts with the awareness you bring.

Your cells have bioelectric and biochemical activity: molecules vibrate, ions move, neurotransmitters and hormones circulate. So, when you practice, you are literally affecting measurable energy exchanges at a cellular level, even if Chi isn’t directly measurable.

When you experience depression, your energy can become stagnant, heavy, or misaligned, affecting both body and mind. We learn to guide energy and transform it — your mind connects with your heart, and you learn to let go. Emotions originate in the brain, but the heart is a powerful regulator and amplifier, creating a feedback loop that affects how emotions are felt and expressed.

Guiding that energy and supporting your natural healing is my privilege.

胆经 • Ever notice how the sides of your body feel tight, crunchy, or ignored? That’s not random.
In TCM, the gallbladder meridian runs along the entire side of the body — from the outer eye, down the neck, ribs, hips, outer legs, all the way to the toes.
We rarely move side-to-side in daily life. We sit, walk forward, bend forward.. and the side body gets stiff. When this meridian gets tight or stagnant, it can show up as hip tension, lower back pain, side headaches, rib discomfort, or just feeling tense and irritable.
Stretching the sides isn’t just about flexibility.
It helps:
• release deep fascia and hip tension
• support spinal mobility and posture
• improve circulation and energy flow
• create physical and mental flexibility
The gallbladder is linked to decision-making and adaptability. When the side body opens, people often say they feel lighter, clearer, and less stuck — physically and emotionally.
So next time you stretch, don’t forget the sides. Your body (and your nervous system) will thank you. 🙏

June 21st #瑜伽 • Today and everyday: a friendly reminder — yoga poses will always look different on different bodies. And that is OKAY. Your body is unique and vulnerable. Pushing yourself into a shape that isn’t physically accessible to you and your body can injure more than just your pride. Namaste. 🙏🏼
