Woke up before the sun for my DEXA scan this morning! ☀️ Gotta be completely sober for this one – no caffeine, no food, no alcohol for a while beforehand to ensure the most accurate bone density reading. Plus, it’s a strict “no metal” zone, so out came all the jewelry and zips!
But seriously, dragging myself out of bed for this was 100% worth it. For all my ladies out there, especially if you’re in your 30s, getting a bone density scan like this is incredibly important. Our bones reach their peak mass around this age, and understanding your baseline now gives you crucial insight. It empowers you to make informed decisions about your diet, exercise, and lifestyle to protect your bone health for decades to come and help prevent osteoporosis later on.
