Run for the Beach 5k

A "green" road race with beautiful coastal views. Proceeds benefit the environmental work of Salem Sound Coastwatch. The Run for Beach 5K! NEW THIS YEAR!

benefits Salem Sound Coastwatch, a nonprofit environmental organization working to make our beaches, coastal waters, wetlands and marine habitats clean and safe. This is a fun road race featuring:
• Chip timing
• Great course with ocean views
• Music
• Food
• Door prizes
• Ocean Setting at Dane Street Beach with sandy beach, grassy park for picnicking, restrooms and new kids playground
• Ocean themed medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finish, male and female, by age group! A team competition and a stroller division! The course starts at Dane Street Beach, goes through wooded residential side streets to the Lighthouse at Hospital Point, loops back through historic Beverly to Independence Park and ends with more ocean views. There are some rolling hills. One water stop. Entry Fees: ($5 discount for rates for students and military)
• $25 – Early Bird! Ends Sunday, April 30. Includes event tee
• $30 – Pre-Reg - May 1- Noon, Friday, June 9.
******Must register by Thursday May 25 to get event tee
• $35 – Race Day

We had a beautiful morning yesterday for 251 runners, walkers and strollers to cross the finish line at Dane Street Beach! A big thank you to all our participants, sponsors and volunteers who helped to make our 10th Run for the Beach 5K a success. Results can be found at coolrunning.com. Don’t forget! Early Packet Pick-up will be today from 9:30-11am at New England Running Company in North Beverly. Those who pick up their packet on Saturday will be entered into a raffle for a free pair of running shoes from New England Running Company!

Hello Runners and Walkers! We look forward to seeing you on Sunday!
Here’s some important information:

Early Packet Pick-up will be Saturday, June 8th from 9:30-11am at New England Running Company in North Beverly. Those who pick up their packet on Saturday will be entered into a raffle for a free pair of running shoes from New England Running Company!

Race Day Registration and Packet Pick up will be Sunday morning from 7:30 - 8:45 am at Dane Street Beach. Race day registration will be $35. All credit card transactions will be subject to a $1.50 service fee.

Race start time is 9 am. (Note the new time for 2019)

Parking is available on Lothrop Street and surrounding neighborhoods.

Activities- Come early and take a picture in our photo booth or take a chance at our 50/50 raffle! There will be a touch tank with local see creatures.

T-shirts- For those who registered after the May 14th t-shirt deadline, a limited number of t-shirts will be available to purchase for $15.

9:00 -- 5K start
9:45 -- Awards

This is a "Green" event. Everything will be composted or recycled. Bring your own water bottle. We’ll have lots of water!
