At tonight's meeting, the Pre-OT club was busy making stress buster bags! They include tea, bubbles, candy, and a few more surprises! Make sure to stop by the second floor of the commons tomorrow from 2pm-4pm to pick one up!

This past Saturday, the UNE Pre OT Club participated in a bake sale fundraiser at the UNE men' soccer game. The club collected $85 worth of donations that will be utilized for future events and volunteer opportunities! Thank you to everyone who came out to support the club and our future endeavors!

Today the Pre-OT club volunteered at the Autism Walk held here on campus! Members helped with the arts and crafts table, water station, and cheering on those who walked! Thanks for everyone that volunteered!! It was a great way to spend a beautiful Sunday morning!

Wow! So much fun tonight at EVO Rock + Fitness Portland helping out with the adaptive climbing program!! Some of our members even had the opportunity to try climbing with the adaptive harnesses. This was such a fun learning experience for us all & we were so thankful for the opportunity to volunteer.

Thank you to both EVO & Adaptive Outdoor Education Center for having us!!! We look forward to collaborating in the future 😀

Tonight, some of our OT Club Members got to be trained in rock climbing and belaying! We are so excited to go back at the end of April and volunteer for the Horizons Adaptive Climbing Program. Thank you EVO Rock + Fitness Portland, we all had a BLAST!!! 😊

Perfect explanation of what an OT is! Can’t wait to be doing this for my career someday soon!

What exactly is occupational therapy, aka OT? Is it like physical therapy? Is is helping people find jobs? Well, it could be. But it's way more than that.  I think a better question would be “what isn’t OT?”
