We skipped the sit down dinner this year and went for a super fun wreath workshop at Grayce Gardens. Missing a few, but we had a great time catching up. I’m so thankful for this team of talented and fun ladies.

This post makes me nervous! I’ve thought a lot about how I would approach “hiring” new therapists. Moving Mountains Pediatric Therapy has been steadily growing for the last 3 1/2 years and I honestly believe I have some of the absolute best therapists on my team. Until now, each of them has been gifted to me at the right time for us. I’ve never advertised or posted “hiring” before. As we grow and early intervention continues to thrive, we need help! I’m putting the info out there, and continuing to trust that God and the people who know us will provide the right person to join us. ❤️

If you know of a speech therapist or occupational therapist that might love to join an awesome team and work with sweet babies everyday, please share with them.

Email me or DM for details and requirements needed.

Another physical therapy month shout out! Courtney has been a co-worker and dear friend for 7 years. She graduated from Slippery Rock University with her DPT in 2015. This sweet girl is a jack of all trades, quite literally. She can make your wedding cake, cure you dizziness, help your baby crawl, and design your home interior to be fit for a magazine.

She is a brilliant PT and we are so fortunate to have her on our team.

October is PT month!

From the beginning of this adventure, I have beamed with pride in knowing my team is SOLID. Our page has been quiet because we have been BUSY, but I cannot go through October without slowing down to appreciate a few integral parts of the team!

In honor of PT month, we will highlight our amazing PT team. First up, Meredith Ankerbrand, I'm so lucky to have her knowledge, passion, and expertise on this team.

Thank you, Meredith, for all that you do for our profession and for Moving Mountains!

This beautiful weather means PT goes OUTSIDE! I can't pass up sharing the coolest swing I've ever seen too!

Tuesday cuteness alert. Just have to share this sweet guy and say how proud I am of not just him...but his family as well. They are a poster family for what EI is all about and how important coaching is.

I've also always wondered what the parents feel that THEY gain from EI. Our goal is obviously for our kiddos to improve, but I gain SO much personally from every family that I've just always thought about it. So, I asked his mom Tia that question and she said...."The communication and confidence that they have gained in what we teach them, as well as friendship and trust that we have built between the family and his therapists." She loves the excitement that he shows when he learns new things.

Tia Dawn and Brian, we are so proud of you and Braicen!

In celebration of OT month, I'd love to introduce one of the lovely occupational therapists that we are lucky to have on our team. Meet Becca Grandi and show her some love for OT month :)

Rebecca (Becca) Grandi and her husband Matt have been a part of Fulton County since 2009. After getting married, they moved to Hustontown, where they have felt at home ever since, and are now raising their three boys ages 10 and 8-year-old twins.
As a family, and with their pup, they enjoy any adventure that comes their way…especially ones that involve being in the mountains, sitting around a fire, or just spending time together and exploring the outdoors. They also love spending time with family and friends, playing baseball, riding dirt bikes, and tending to their little goat herd and rescued cats.
Becca is a 2006 graduate of Elizabethtown College, where she earned her Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy. She has been practicing occupational therapy since 2006, with most of her experience being in pediatrics. For the past 4 years, she has been an evaluating therapist for the Fulton/Franklin Early Intervention program, with a recent change to be a treating occupational therapist with Moving Mountains Pediatric Therapy. Becca has always enjoyed working with children and their families, helping them learn the needed skills to develop and thrive. Becca states that “one of the biggest rewards of working for MMPT Early Intervention, is getting a front row seat to watching a child thrive and succeed with the help of his or her family. Nothing beats seeing them so proud of themselves for every little step they make towards their goals as a family.” Becca has always had a passion for working with children and is looking forward to being a part of the MMPT therapy team, serving our local community’s children and their families.

Becca I am so happy to have you working with us!!

I am so incredibly lucky to have not just one but two AMAZING occupational therapists on my team. Beyond the Moving Mountains team, I am blessed to know several other incredible OTs and consider them valuable resources and friends.

In early intervention, OT's support infants and toddlers in challenges with play, sleep, feeding, dressing, social participation. These challenges may be fine motor skills to pick up a toy, processing sensory stimuli during routines, eating/drinking/swallowing properly, learning adaptive behaviors, and so much more.

I'm grateful to work so closely with such a fabulous group of individuals. I love that every OT I know is bursting at the seams with passion for their field. I hope all of you know how great you are. 🥰
