We said goodbye to our dear friend, Sarah Salmon yesterday. When we visited to her on Friday she was already in transition, so we stayed, reading the Bible, singing hymns, and praying for her peaceful passing into the arms of Jesus. Sarah was a sweet lady who was always hungry for the Word of the Lord, and enjoyed our Bible studies. We will see her again someday, and when that day comes, what a rejoicing that will be!

We made our visit on Friday (3/4) to skilled nursing and assisted living at Meadow Lakes, but I heard thunder before we got to memory care. On the way home, my husband called and told me to pull over and wait a few because of the intensity of the storm. I knew a tornado had touched down in Lindale, but the second tornado shown in the picture is within a half mile of my daughter's house (behind the trees in the upper left). We made it home through flooding roads and had to dose Seamus with trazodone, but praise God, damage in the area did not include loss of life, to my knowledge.

Seamus and Jessie were the king and queen at the Mardis Gras parade at Meadow Lakes. The humans enjoyed listening to Mr. Ramuth Gilead perform, but the "royals" decided to crash after leading the parade and having one dance with Chaplain Leslie!

This has been a very sad week for us. Our sweet sister in Christ and dog lover, Joyce Morris, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on 2/24/25. Gemma, the oldest member in our fur baby household, had grown very sick with diabetes, and was put to sleep on 2/26/25. We loved them both and they will live on in memory.

Canines for Christ is now in East Texas

Pioneered by Chaplain Larry Randolph, Canines for Christ has been in existence since July 2007. God has blessed many people through this ministry and changed lives. We are honored to give Him all the glory and humbled to be representing our Lord in communities all over the world. New dogs, volunteers and Chaplains are being added constantly to serve God in this unique ministry. With God’s blessings, we hope to expand in many more locations. Praise God! We give Him all the glory!

East Texas Canines for Christ is ready to add more therapy dog teams to visit the sick, the lonely, the children, the First Responders. We need more members to be able to share the love and compassion of Christ with our friends and neighbors, and a world looking for hope.
