WE DON’T RIDE ALONE.
I swing up ba****ck
and the world opens.
The wind hits first.
Then the silence.
Then the sound of hooves finding rhythm beneath me.
I’m not chasing anything
I’m running free.
Across open land.
Hills rising in the distance.
Mountains holding the horizon.
And then… I feel it.
I’m not alone out here.
A child.
A woman in her prime.
A man in his strength.
An elder with stories carved into their bones.
All of us
riding
running
breathing in the same rhythm.
And behind us?
Not empty space.
A tribe.
Not loud.
Not seen at first glance
but felt.
Rising over the hills.
Moving through the dust.
Shadows in stride with us.
Ancestors.
Grandmothers.
Grandfathers.
Warriors.
Keepers of land, of rhythm, of knowing.
Not watching
running with us.
I can hear it now
More hooves.
More breath.
More life rising behind me.
And without trying
I pick up another gear.
Not forced.
Not pushed
Remembered.
Years and years of power.
Wisdom.
Courage.
Resilience.
Fortitude.
Running through me
through all of us
Like we’ve done this before.
Like we’ve always known the way.
The horse beneath me
Steady.
Certain.
Unshaken.
The constant.
The bridge between worlds
between what was
and what’s still becoming.
Carrying me forward
while holding everything that came before.
This is heaven on earth.
Dust rising behind us.
Sun breaking over the ridge.
A line of riders seen and unseen
moving as one across open land.
The past no longer behind me
but with me.
The good.
The bad.
The ugly.
Not weight anymore
wisdom.
And the future?
Not promised.
Not controlled
But alive.
Being written in real time
right where the hooves hit the ground.
I don’t have to become anything.
I already am.
God above it all.
The Creator in every breath.
The sun on my skin.
The wind at my back.
The rain that will come.
Through every storm.
Through every celebration.
I ride.
I run.
I remember.
And with every stride
we carry the ones who came before us…
and answer the pull of what’s still ahead.
If this speaks to something in you… you’re not alone. This is the work I do—connecting you to all parts of yourself.
