Coming January 2025: Prism Mental Health will be adding in person sessions. This required a quick name change! Don't worry, though. Prism will still be providing convenient virtual therapy sessions for all Mississippi residents.

Alvin Baker, Jr. is owner and LCSW for Prism Online Therapy. He has over 15 years of behavioral, emotional, and mental health experience and a passion for individual care.

Alvin worked for several years as a family counselor, primarily treating adolescents with behavioral difficulties. After obtaining his Master of Social Work degree from USM, he provided clinical treatment in a primary care setting for two years before ultimately becoming the Mental Wellness Counselor for the University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Park campus.

Alvin utilizes a strengths-based, solution-focused model focusing on providing practical tools and skills to cope with life and/or mental health difficulties.
