Tornado watches last night… snow this morning. ❄️🌪️

For a minute there it felt like we were living in Michigan with this crazy weather! 😆

The snow only stuck around about 2 hours before it melted, but it sure was pretty while it lasted. God always finds a way to surprise us.

Hope everyone has a blessed day.

Dialysis Update for Billy

Yesterday was doctor day at the dialysis clinic. After reviewing Billy’s labs and the recent issues with low blood pressure, the doctor made a small adjustment to his nightly treatment.

Instead of using three 2.5% solution bags, Billy will now use two 2.5% bags and one 1.5% bag each night. So it will still be three bags total, but one of them will be a lower strength to help keep his body from pulling off too much fluid.

Right now we are waiting on the dialysis team to call with instructions on whether the 1.5% bag should run as the 2nd or 3rd bag during treatment.

Dialysis is always a bit of a balancing act — adjusting fluids, solutions, and medications to keep everything stable. We’re hopeful this change will help prevent the low blood pressure episodes he’s been dealing with.

Thank you to everyone who continues to pray, check in, and follow Billy’s journey. It truly means a lot to us

Dialysis Day + Doctor Day

Today is doctor day at the dialysis center, which means we’ll be going over Billy’s labs and seeing where everything stands. Fingers crossed for some good numbers! 🤞

Another big topic today will be Billy’s prescriptions after Thursday’s scary trip to the ER. His blood pressure and blood sugar dropped so low he almost passed out, so we’re hoping to get some answers and a plan to keep that from happening again.

And of course… supply day.
Every month we order about 50 boxes of the green 2.5% dialysis solution plus other supplies — around 55 boxes total.

Let’s just say dialysis has officially taken over our room. It honestly looks like that scene in The Santa Clause when Tim Allen’s house gets flooded with the Nice and Naughty lists. Boxes everywhere! 📦📦📦🤣🤣

Dialysis life is a lot of work behind the scenes every single day and night, but we keep pushing forward and staying hopeful.

Please keep Billy in your prayers as we keep working toward the goal — a life-saving kidney donor.

Sadly Billy had to miss church this morning because of the time change. After a long night hooked up to dialysis, losing that extra hour makes mornings extra tough.

Dialysis may change our schedule, but it doesn’t change our faith. We’ll be praising from home today. 🙏

Please keep Billy in your prayers as we continue this kidney journey and hope for a living donor. 💚
