Sarah Brumfield, owner of Graceful Aging & Wellness, is a certified personal trainer that is specialized in senior fitness, and also a licensed physical therapist assistant. She has been providing skilled physical therapy since 2005, restoring strength and safe functional mobility in patients under a variety of diagnoses. After many years of restoring the functional independence and quality of life in senior adults after falls and knowing not only the physical decline but also the cognitive decline that can result of falling, Sarah has now shifted her focus on fitness training and fall prevention.

Not all fall risks are visible.
When it comes to preventing falls in older adults, we have to look at both intrinsic and extrinsic risk factors.

✅ Intrinsic risks are things happening inside the body—like chronic conditions, muscle loss, or changes in posture and flexibility.
✅ Extrinsic risks come from the environment—like clutter, rugs, or poor lighting.

👟 At Graceful Aging, we focus on both.
Through guided exercise, education, and personalized care, we help older adults strengthen their bodies and make their homes safer.

Because preventing falls means more than being careful—it means being proactive.

Posture isn’t just about appearance, it’s about balance, confidence, and independence.

These simple but powerful exercises can make a big difference for seniors:

✅ Overhead Press – Builds shoulder strength and alignment
✅ W’s (Scapular Retraction) – Strengthens the upper back and improves shoulder posture
✅ Hip Bridges – Activates the glutes and stabilizes the spine

Good posture helps reduce falls, ease back pain, and even improve breathing.
Let’s build better habits together, one rep at a time.

From better sleep and mood to sharper memory and lower anxiety, movement supports nearly every part of a senior's physical and emotional well-being.

Even small, consistent steps can make a big difference in how you feel each day.

Let’s move for better health — inside and out. 🧠💪💛

🩺 Health first. Strength second. Confidence always.

Before every workout, we take a moment to check in — not just physically, but personally. Blood pressure checks like this are a small part of how we tailor each session to fit the individual needs of our clients.

At Graceful Aging, it’s never “one size fits all.” It’s about building trust, creating a safe space, and helping every client move forward with strength and confidence.

💪 Personalized fitness. Compassionate care. Real results.

😂 Comedian Nate Bargatze gets it. When your parents hit a certain age, a simple trip turns into a full-on fall with a bruise that lasts forever. He jokes that it's like they’re being thrown off a roof... so now he just walks ahead like a sherpa, pointing out every crack and step.

Funny, but real. That’s why fall prevention is so important.

At Graceful Aging, we help seniors build balance, strength, and awareness so they can stay steady and independent. No sherpa required.

80% of caregivers report physical strain.
It makes sense. Helping a loved one move, stand, or transfer takes strength, and without proper technique and core stability, it can lead to pain or injury.

But you're not in this alone.

Exercises like bird dogs, bridges, and sit-to-stands can help both you and your loved one build strength, improve mobility, and stay safe. These movements support better posture, reduce back pain, and make daily caregiving tasks easier.

Taking care of yourself is just as important as caring for someone else. Let Graceful Aging show you how.
