When you hear the word fitness, racing on a treadmill, pedaling away on a peloton bike, or pumping weights might come to mind. These are excellent forms of cardio and strength training. Moment of rest, relaxation, recovery, and reflection are part of a healthy fit lifestyle too.

Rest is not a luxury–it’s a way of bringing your nervous system back into balance. For me, it can be as simple as pausing with a warm cup in hand, soaking in the light, and letting my breath slow down. How do you find your moments of rest, peace, or stillness in the middle of a busy day?

Sleep is calling… and yoga helps answer. 💤

Research shows that a gentle yoga practice can improve sleep quality, reduce stress hormones, and calm the nervous system. Making it easier to fall asleep and stay asleep!

A Harvard Medical School study published in the journal Sleep found that participants who practiced yoga regularly fell asleep faster, slept longer, and reported better overall sleep quality.

Even a few minutes of stretching, breath, and stillness before bed can help your body shift from busy to restful. 🧘‍♀️
