Calling all Higher Education Faculty across Alabama 👀🔥

We’re launching the Higher Education Assistive Technology (HEAT) Cohort—a new initiative focused on bringing together faculty across disciplines to strengthen access to assistive technology and better prepare future professionals across the state.

HEAT is a collaboration between UA College of Education, Accessing Potential Through Assistive Technology (APT AT), and United Ability. As part of this initiative, 25 faculty members will receive complimentary registration to the AT Alabama Conference.

If you’re a faculty member at a higher education institution in Alabama, whether you’re already integrating assistive technology or just getting started, we’d love to have you join us.

Complete the interest form here or at the link in our bio. https://pulse.ly/ugahhh8oxm

Let’s build this together!

Assistive tech doesn’t have to be complicated!

Ashley shares how much a little change to garden gloves helped her do some garden bed prep this weekend:

“I love my new gardening gloves with claws. Makes it so much easier to w**d! Normally my fingers end up super tender and weak after just a short time but the claws make it easier to dig down into the dirt to grab the roots. It’s also way better for the targeted areas around plants. And for folks who struggle to hold garden tools this could be an option.”

We have a pair in the lending library you can request to borrow to see if they work for you: AccessingPotential.org
