Max, aka Mils, is Sound's official hall monitor and resident treat consumer who belongs to Dr. McKnight. He was once Dr. McKnight's patient...then Dr. McKnight's foster dog...then Dr. McKnight's...well, you know the rest! He is always ready to greet our visitors and cute them to death! We adore our Max-O-Million.

Max has intervertabral disk disease and walks in the underwater treadmill to keep his spinal reflex walk strong. He is a shining example of how a dog can walk, even if they can't feel their feet.

If your dog has back issues or trouble with mobility, our team specializes in helping them get back in their feet. Give us a call and let's see if we can help your hound live their best life!

Meet Stilton! He is one of our fitness patients. What does this mean?
Stilton is a healthy 5 year old Pembroke Welsh Corgi. Corgis are prone to back issues like IVDD(Intervertebral Disc Disease) and DM (Degenerative Myelopathy), hip and elbow dysplasia and obesity. Stilton’s owners wanted to be proactive and keep him as healthy as possible.

What do we do on a fitness session?
1. Underwater Treadmill Therapy- this helps build muscle and it improves circulation.
2. Canine Fitness Exercises- it helps with weight management, muscle strengthening among a lot of other things including mental stimulation.

If you’re interested in learning more about it and think your pet might be a good candidate have your regular veterinarian send us a referral. Dr. McKnight would be happy to meet you and your fur baby and develop a plan.
