We are deeply saddened by the news of James Van Der Beek's passing from colorectal cancer. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and everyone feeling the weight of this loss.

Following his stage 3 colorectal cancer diagnosis in 2023, James became a vocal advocate for early, proactive screening, urging people not to wait for symptoms. He emphasized that colorectal cancer is highly treatable when caught early and that screening guidelines now recommend starting at age 45.

We honor his memory, and we are grateful for his powerful legacy of education and advocacy.

The actor was diagnosed with stage 3 colorectal cancer in November 2024.
