Initiation within Isẹ̀ṣe Òrìṣà Tradition is a sacred consecration that establishes a lifelong spiritual relationship between an individual, their Ori (inner head), and the divine forces that guide their destiny.
Initiation is not a symbolic ceremony, nor is it entered through desire alone. It unfolds through divination, preparation, discipline, and spiritual readiness, guided within an established spiritual home (Ile) and ancestral lineage.

Through initiation, the Àṣẹ (spiritual authority) of a governing Òrìṣà or Ifá is anchored within the individual, aligning their life with divine order, responsibility, and service.
Initiation is a beginning and is entered with humility, patience, and long term commitment.

Lineage & Spiritual Guidance

Initiation is guided within Ile Ase Osun Sengese, a spiritual home dedicated to the preservation, practice, and transmission of Isẹ̀ṣe Òrìṣà Tradition.
The work is held within the ancestral lineage of Ìdílé Adúké, a maternal lineage committed to spiritual continuity, priestess discipline, and service through ancestral wisdom.

Within Isẹ̀ṣe Òrìṣà Tradition, initiation unfolds through distinct consecratory pathways that are entered according to divination, spiritual readiness, and destiny alignment. These pathways are not chosen casually or requested by preference, but are revealed and guided through spiritual assessment.

The following pathways represent stages of consecration that may be encountered along the initiatory journey.
Ìṣẹ̀fà (Iṣẹ̀fà)A foundational consecration that establishes protection, spiritual alignment, and relationship with Ori and Ifá. This pathway often marks the beginning of formal spiritual responsibility and devotional practice.
Ìtẹ́fà (Ìtẹ́fà)Full initiation into Ifá under Orúnmìlà, signifying a lifelong commitment to priestly study, discipline, and service. This consecration carries enduring responsibility and requires sustained preparation.
Ìdọ̀ṣù (Ìdọ̀ṣù)Consecration into the Àṣẹ of a governing Òrìṣà, anchoring their spiritual authority within Ori and establishing a lifelong bond of devotion, responsibility, and alignment.
Timing, sequence, and eligibility for any initiatory pathway are determined through divination and spiritual readiness and vary per person.
Readiness, Commitment & Discernment
Initiation within Isẹ̀ṣe Òrìṣà Tradition is entered through readiness, patience, and sustained commitment. It is not a single event, but a process that unfolds over time through study, discipline, and spiritual preparation.
Commitment is entered in twelve-month cycles, with continued training extending over multiple years depending on spiritual readiness, completion of required study, and divination guidance.
