The Gender and Sexuality Union at UAB Activism, advocacy, community, education, and support for the queer and allied students of UAB and the surrounding Birmingham community.

GSU envisions an open, positive, welcoming, and safe UAB community that equitably supports and advocates for its students, patients, employees, and the greater Birmingham community in their healthcare, education, career, and social endeavors regardless of their identity. The GSU will always be a vehicle of social justice and political action for our community. The GSU will act as an ally to other organizations in order to better serve our students and magnify our power across the community.
