Let me say as a business owner that have worked on both sides of the fence. I have a right to refuse business that I feel is not safe for my employees. All money is not good money therefore, I will refuse a client. This is why I personally go out to assess my potential clients before taking them on. Just as they have options in homecare agencies I have options in clients for for my employees. If I walk into a home that I myself would not want to work in for hours or even a hour. There is no way I’m going to expect my employee to do it. If I walk into an a home where the environment does not appear safe, please understand there is no way im taking this client on. I will not put my employee in an unsafe environment. There safety comes first, I’m sorry. So yes, I go out to assess my clients just as I meet my employees, run a background, drug test.
