You accept failure in the gym without thinking twice.
Missed rep? Adjust. Bad set? Come back tomorrow. Tripped on your double unders? Reset and go again.
But ask someone to overhaul how they eat? Start a new habit? Make a change they’ve tried before and “failed” at?
Suddenly failure feels final.
Why does the same thing hit so differently?
In 5 years of coaching midlife women and men through real life I’ve watched people quit on themselves for the exact thing they’d never quit on in a workout.
A hard week isn’t failure. It’s a rep you didn’t finish yet.
Learn from it. Adjust. Come back tomorrow. That’s the whole game.
❤️ this if you can relate.
