PSA: Magnesium isnโ€™t always โ€œharmlessโ€ if taken the wrong way โš ๏ธ

Sharing this so it helps someone elseโ€ฆ

I took magnesium on an empty stomach (while fasting), and instead of feeling calm, I felt:
โ€ข anxious
โ€ข lightheaded
โ€ข shaky
โ€ข almost like I might faint

At first, it felt like anxiety โ€” but it wasnโ€™t.
It was my nervous system reacting to a drop in blood pressure / electrolytes.

Magnesium relaxes blood vessels.
On an empty stomach (especially if you fast, drink coffee, or are dehydrated), it can hit too fast.

What I learned:
โœ”๏ธ Magnesium is powerful โ€” timing matters
โœ”๏ธ Take it with food, especially if fasting
โœ”๏ธ Start with a lower dose
โœ”๏ธ Some forms (like citrate or oxide) are stronger on the gut
โœ”๏ธ Feeling โ€œanxiousโ€ doesnโ€™t always mean itโ€™s emotional โ€” sometimes itโ€™s physiological

Iโ€™m sharing this to prevent confusion, fear, or unnecessary panic for anyone trying to do the โ€œright thingโ€ for their health.

Listen to your body.
