Some of us spent years trying before we ever held a baby.
Some of us went through loss, treatments, waiting rooms, and hard conversations.
Some of us are still trying.
Some of us built our families in ways we never imagined - IVF, adoption, surrogacy, fostering, or redefining what motherhood looks like.

Infertility doesn’t just affect people before motherhood - it lives inside many of our stories. The quiet grief. The pressure. The financial stress. The feeling of watching everyone else move forward.

This week, we’re holding space for mothers who know that path. You are more than the appointments, more than the labels, more than the timeline that didn’t go as planned. And if you're still in it, you're not alone.

We honor your journey. And we stand with every family still finding their way.

Mother, Baby, & Beyond had an amazing time bringing our Pop-Up Clinic to the 5th Annual Black Birth Expo, hosted by Do Care Doula Foundation, Inc!

From free health assessments to pregnancy and postpartum support, we loved connecting with moms and families, sharing resources, and supporting Black maternal health.

Today is the last day of Black Maternal Health Week!

This wasn’t just awareness - it was truth. Real mothers, real stories, real grief, real joy, and real strength. We saw each other, we named what hurts, and we still chose love for ourselves and our babies.

To Black moms carrying so much every day - you are loved.
To the families who’ve experienced loss - we remember your babies and we’re still fighting for change.
To the advocates, doulas, midwives, and caregivers - you keep this work alive.

Even as the week ends, we carry everything it brought up with us - into our homes, our care, and our communities. We don’t leave this behind. Because every mother deserves to thrive.

April is Stress Awareness Month.

To the moms who are tired, stretched thin, and still showing up every day - this is for you.

The long days. The constant needs. The feeling of being pulled in every direction at once. It can be a lot. And even when you love your family deeply, the stress is still real.

Here are a few gentle ways to move through the stress:

• Take small moments for yourself
Even 5-10 minutes of quiet can help. Sit, breathe, step outside - no pressure, just a pause.

• Ask for help and accept it
You don’t have to do everything alone. Let someone show up for you.

• Ease up on doing it all
Everything doesn’t have to get done today. What matters most is that you and your family are okay.

You’re holding a lot. It makes sense that you feel it.
Your wellness matters just as much as everything you’re holding.

Today was powerful.

I had the honor of attending the Black Maternal Health Week resolution signing in both the House and the Senate at Legislative Hall in Dover, Delaware - surrounded by maternal health advocates, state leaders, and community partners all committed to improving outcomes for moms.

In a time where we see so much division, it was truly heartwarming to witness our legislators come together in agreement on something that matters so deeply - the health, safety, and well-being of Black mothers and families.

Because this work matters.

And while the vision is that one day we won't need to recognize Black Maternal Health Week because of disparities...until that day comes, we keep showing up.

We advocate.
We educate.
We build community.

Hi friends 💜

Today I had the honor of heading to Legislative Hall in Dover, Delaware for the Black Maternal Health Week resolution signing.

Black Maternal Health Week, led by the Black Mamas Matter Alliance, exists because the reality is still this:

Black mothers are experiencing worse outcomes during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period.

And while that truth is hard… it’s also why this work matters so much.

Because behind every statistic is a real mom.
A real family.
A real story.

Too many moms are navigating pregnancy and recovery feeling overlooked, unsupported, and unsure of what’s normal.

That’s why advocacy, awareness, and community matter.

And it’s also why we do what we do through Mother Baby and Beyond - helping new moms understand what’s normal after having a baby so they can navigate their recovery with support, clarity, and confidence.

We still have work to do… but I’m grateful to be in rooms where change is happening.💜

Because every mother deserves to survive and thrive.
