Susan Yvonne Barker (Jones) age 75 of Fort Calhoun, born November 6th, 1950, went home to be with her heavenly father on December 7th 2025. Memorial Services will be held Monday December 15, 2025, at 10:00AM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Community Chapel in Blair, in the Chapel.
Susan was born in Blair, Nebraska and attended and graduated from Blair High School in 1968. Over the years Susan worked at Dave's Pump Service a family company and supported her family as a homemaker. Susan always enjoyed feeding the birds around her home, especially drawing cardinals and blue jays to her feeders. She especially cherished her time spent with family.
Sue was welcomed home by her parents, Wallace (Bus) and Maudie Jones of rural Fort Calhoun, brother Russ Jones, sister and brother-in-law Judy & Ron Stork. She is survived by her husband of 56 years Dave Barker, daughter Taraisa (Butch) Groves of Fort Calhoun, son Mike (Jenn) Barker of Lee’s Summit MO. Grandchildren Jordan (Cindy) Groves, Jackson Groves (Katie Harnack), Josie (Juan) Gonzalez and Michela Barker (Justin Smith). Great grandchildren Maudie Gonzalez and August Groves. Funeral services are yet to be determined.
All memorials will be donated to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home Aviary.
