We spend so much of our lives trying to fit in. Softening our edges. Holding back our truth. Making ourselves more digestible so we don’t offend, don’t stand out too much, don’t make others uncomfortable.
But what if that was never the point?
What I’m starting to understand is this: we weren’t put here to blend in. We were put here to be. To explore our own path, our own way of thinking, our own truth, even when it doesn’t match what’s expected or accepted.
Because the reality is, people will always see you through the lens of themselves. Their wounds, their beliefs, their insecurities, their growth. They will project what they like, what they fear, and what they don’t understand.
And no matter how much you try to shape yourself around that… it will never actually be about you.
So instead of shrinking, adjusting, or filtering yourself to fit into someone else’s perception, what if you chose to meet yourself fully instead?
To get curious about who you are without the noise.
To honor the parts of you that don’t fit neatly into a box.
To trust that your path doesn’t need approval to be valid.
You are not here to be understood by everyone.
You are here to understand yourself.
And maybe the most freeing thing you’ll ever realize is this:
You don’t need to fit in… when you were never meant to.
