I offer FUN, goal focused fitness training in Northern NJ & Rockland County NY. You can purchase individual training or you can get your family, friends or colleagues together and work out as a group! It's been a long time since I've posted on Determined Strength. LIFE (and COVID) took center stage for bit. This is the song that runs through my mind all the time... Hello FB friends! It's been awhile since I posted on Determined Strength. I'm inspired TODAY because I know that there a lot of people who have fitness goals for 2017. The #1 thing to remember is that YOU CAN DO IT! YOU CAN ACHIEVE YOUR GOALS! Through training myself and a wide-range of clients, I've learned that your mindset ("I can" and "I will" vs. "I can't" and "I won't") makes all the difference. I've seen people with long lists of what they "can't and won't" do transform with a positive attitude. Need help? Give me a call/text (845-405-1043) or FB message me - ask me questions. Whether we talk once or workout out over years, I'm happy to share what I know and help you toward your goals! GET GOING! YOU CAN DO IT! :)

I am a reluctant runner. It has never been my go-to exercise. But, once I get started, I enjoy it and I always come back with a few pieces of wisdom.
Here are my lessons from running:

1. Glance at your goal but concentrate on the steps directly in front of you. You have to do them to get to where you want to be.
2. Appreciate hills. They make you stronger.
3. Be cautious on downhills. This is when you are most likely to get hurt.
4. Celebrate when you reach your goal.
5. And, know that you are not done.

Our 3rd Kicking Ass for A Cause workout will be next Saturday 7/30. We're still going to be at Brookdale Park (because the space is awesome), however this will be a "beginners' workout". I want FB friends, and friends of friends, and family of friends who may be feeling intimidated to come out. More advanced participants are always welcome - you'll get the "modifications" - they won't. PLEASE REGISTER BY 5:00PM ON WEDNESDAY. Knowing who's going to be in the group allows me to prepare the workout accordingly. :) Register by calling or texting 845-405-1043 or FB message.

Let's face it - there's a lot of negativity in the news. Would you like to join a group that supports taking care of yourself while simultaneously doing something good for others? Register by NOON on Thursday for our 2nd "Kicking Ass for a Cause" (Saturday 8AM - Brookdale Park). The "cost of admission" is a minimum $10 donation and the name of a charity that is doing something awesome. We workout and we draw a charity that wins the donations for the day.
