The first quilt is DONE!! This labor of love spans a tiny first-Halloween onesie all the way to a Class of 2026 t-shirt, and dozens of memories in between. So proud of this mama who created her first quilt, just in time for graduation!

I have to brag on these adorable cargo pants!

This student is brand new to machine sewing, and used this pattern to learn so many new techniques!
✔️ Basic construction of pants
✔️ Overlay cargo pockets
✔️ Inset side pockets
✔️ Fitted waistband
✔️ Belt loops
✔️ Zippered fly
✔️ Button holes, buttons and snaps
✔️ Hemming

The spring sewing session is right around the corner, and enrollment is now open for all youth classes!

We'll kick off the Spring Session on April 6, and finish up in May with the 3rd Annual Sewing & Fashion Showcase! All classes will be invited to take part, even beginners. The first rows are coming together for this year's t-shirt quilts! Each of the quilters this year are mamas to high school seniors, and are pouring so much love into these quilts, that we will have done in time for graduation. Stay tuned for the gorgeous finished products!

I have, once again, been too busy chatting and sewing with students to remember to take many pictures! But as we wind down the Winter Session, these kids have been working HARD! We've created skirts and jackets and polos and fleece onesie and rompers. The birds have gotten more love than they know what to do with! We've added gorgeous details with shiny thread, and even sewn with broken arms and fractured ankles! Swipe through all these photos to see all the amazing creations that I remembered to capture!

Last week, this busy girl finally found time to gather her friends and celebrate her birthday! Ava picked a fairly challenging project - a zippered pencil case with many tiny pockets - and her friends all nailed it! Happy birthday Ava!

This is a beginner-friendly class, and participants will get to complete two creative projects in one morning!
