Btown: For class at Switchyard tonight at 6 pm, it's on the stage east of the splash pad. You can park in the Roger St parking lot (just south of The Warehouse). There's a paved path that runs from the parking lot all the way to the stage.

As you go about your days, what kinds of things does your mind come up with? Isn’t it kind of fascinating how our egos like to comment and/or criticize all day long? Wouldn’t it be great if we could change the narrative inside our heads - let go of worry, feel more peace?
For years I tried to meditate sitting still. Couldn’t do it! Didn’t want to sit still. Then I discovered the concept of “moving meditation” or “mindful moment” - Tai Chi and Qigong. My life has not been the same ever since. Quite simply, learning Tai Chi and Qigong is the best thing I’ve ever done for myself. I love sharing these easy yet powerful techniques.
When we quiet our minds and tune into our breathing, we align with the infinite energy of the universe. Through radical attention to the present moment, we can enter the realm of Presence. The no-thing that is everything.
How Does It Work?
Meditative movement activates the parasympathetic nervous system, the“Relaxation Response” which is the opposite of fight or flight, the “Stress Response.” It’s a whole different set of neurotransmitters - chemicals that your body creates. It’s literally a healing medicine your body produces. The more time you spend in this relaxed yet focused state, the more your body is able to dispel toxins and rejuvenate cells.
