What a beautiful day to visit Minnehaha Falls! We enjoyed the brisk fall air and a tasty lunch at Sea Salt Restaurant before heading on our way.

🌳 Japanese Garden 🌳
On Wednesday we enjoyed a lovely outing to the beautiful gardens at Normandale College. The koi were swimming and the wind was blowing. What a gorgeous day!

🚘 Car Show & Food Truck Fun 🚘
Wednesday was the perfect day for a car show and food truck! Hot Box Foods served up All American hot dogs, gourmet mini donuts and fresh squeezed lemonade! Southern Cruzers Car Club brought their classic cars and we took a trip down memory lane. We had a fabulous day!

🧺 Prescott Picnic 🧺
All smiles here! This week we took a scenic drive to Prescott, Wisconsin to visit Freedom Park. If you’ve never been, we highly recommend it! We also stopped inside The Great River Road Visitor Center to enjoy some air conditioning and learn about the natural history of the area. Beautiful views, gorgeous weather and fantastic company. What a perfect day!

🌳 Nine Mile Creek 🌳
What a beautiful morning for a walk! On Tuesday we stretched our legs and enjoyed the fresh air down by Nine Mile Creek, right behind our building. The sound of the babbling creek was music to our ears as we visiting and reminisced.

🍉 Summer Watermelon 🍉
Today we thought about cooling off and tried our hand at painting slices of watermelon! This was one of our more challenging projects, mixing greens and browns are always a little more tricky. We did it, each one as unique as the next!

🔥 Fire Safety 🔥
On Monday a member of the Bloomington Fire Department came out to share Facts, Figures and Fire Prevention. We learned more about the history of Bloomington’s fire department and how things have changed over the years. We are grateful for their dedication to keeping our community safe!

💫 Nine Mile Creek Wishlist 2026 💫

We have had a great 2025 so far, and are already looking ahead to next year! We are always looking for extra Magic Watercolor Painting Books and Crayola coloring supplies. Our residents have been greatly enjoying therapy visits from our friends at Bunny Besties, and it is something we look forward to continuing here. We also welcome any donations of greeting cards for resident use. Our larger wish list item this year is a Warming/Proofing cabinet to be used in our Memory Care neighborhood.
