The answer depends on the time of day you drink your coffee...

Data from over 40,000 adults showed drinking coffee in the morning was associated with a lower risk of cardiovascular disease (31%) and all cause mortality (16%) compared to not drinking coffee OR drinking it throughout the day...

The timing mattered far more than anticipated, most likely because caffeine has 6-8 hour half life, meaning if you drink coffee at noon, you'll still have 50% of the caffeine in your system by 6 PM and 25% of that caffeine load in your brain and body at midnight!

2 or more cups of coffee yielded the most benefits... But that doesn't mean you can load up on Frappuccino's at Starbucks...

Hidden sugars, excessive fats, and drinking coffee at the wrong times can all offset these benefits...
