The StrongBlackWoman is a myth and it is costing us dearly.
I specialize in supporting anxious and exhausted Black women.
Operating as usual
The StrongBlackWoman is a myth and it is costing us dearly.
We recreate difficult cycles, consciously and subconsciously. We have a need and desire to master the issue at hand. So we find ourselves repeating patterns—same issue, different face. There’s wisdom to be gained when we acknowledge that we play a powerful role in our relationships.
Have I been here before?
And if so, what do I have left to learn?
I’m an introverted healer. I don’t enjoy grinding. I’m not a rise and grinder. I’m a lay quietly and reflector. An ease into my day-er. If you insist that I participate in the grind culture, I will only grind during working hours. Apart from that, I require conveniences, aka the soft life.
I will take my rest this lifetime, before I take my final rest.
Solutions come when we rest.
For the Love of Black Women
Everything you want in life has a price connected to it. There’s a price to pay if you want to make things better and a price for leaving things as they are.
Everything has a price.
And until the pain of remaining the same is greater than the pain of change, you will remain the same.
In what ways do you want to change? What are you willing to do about it?
HOLDING SPACE
When I hold space for you, you’re my focus; physically, mentally, emotionally, and energetically.
I’m attuned to you and your needs.
I’m hearing the sentiments you can’t or won’t speak.
I’m channeling what your soul needs to be reminded of.

A few years ago, I got really honest with myself. Quietly and privately, I told myself the truth; “If they’re annoying you, it might be because you have that same unhealed trait in you.”
—just a tip of the vulnerability iceberg
I’m planning to develop a course and want to be sure I’m creating a course that is needed. Your vote will help me do that! I appreciate you all! 🤎

Capitalism and the practice of rest
What this space means for you and me.
Today I'm talking about how code-shifting impacts Black women's mental health.
How code-shifting is affecting you & what you can do about it:

The Cost of Code-Shifting - For the Love of Black Women You know the experience of going out of your way to soften your tone so you’re not perceived as the “Angry Black Woman,” or obsessing over whether you should take your braids out for the interview. You know it all too well. It’s second nature. We alter our appearance, behavior, tone of voice...
Someone asked. Here's my answer:
I do. I will. I'm here until you get what you need!
