Susan Albinder, Ph.D, LMFT A Psychotherapist, Anti-aging specialist, Health Coach - the Mind Body Connection for total wellness Seeking therapy takes courage and strength.

My goal is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental, and inviting atmosphere in order for clients to feel safe and comfortable sharing their stories. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in Florida. I received a doctorate degree from Nova Southeastern University. I am a nutritional health coach certified by the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, a board diplomat certified by the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, and a SMART resilience trainer. I have an integrative therapeutic approach and treat clients as individuals. I pull from a variety of therapeutic approaches based on what the client seems to need in the therapy session. The mind-body connection is the link between a person's thoughts, attitudes, and behaviors and their physical health. While scientists have long understood that our emotions can affect our bodies, we're just now beginning to understand how emotions influence health and longevity. I explore all aspects of a person’s lifestyle in order to gain a more comprehensive perspective to wellness. The concept of caring for your overall health and well-being, including mental, physical, emotional, and behavioral health, is driving health services today. This has been my therapeutic focus and mindset. Let’s work together and find the road to health, joy, and longevity! Areas of Expertise:

🧠✨ Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) offers powerful insights that can transform how you build healthy habits, especially related to weight loss and wellness. Unlike simple willpower, CBT helps identify hidden negative thinking patterns that often sabotage your progress. By learning to reshape these thoughts, you develop more realistic, positive habits that stick for the long term.

Here’s how CBT works for healthier habits:

1️⃣ Recognize triggers that lead to unhealthy choices.
2️⃣ Challenge unhelpful thoughts like "I always fail" or "I can't resist sweets."
3️⃣ Replace those thoughts with empowering, realistic alternatives.
4️⃣ Build small, actionable steps toward your goals.
5️⃣ Commit to ongoing practice and self-reflection.

Understanding your mindset is key to managing stress, emotional eating, and motivation. CBT equips you with tools to respond differently, not just react, helping create lasting change.

Remember: The mind and body are deeply connected. When your thinking aligns with your health goals, achieving weight loss and wellbeing becomes a more natural, achievable journey. 🌿💪
