New study links healthy plant-based diets to lower breast cancer risk π¬π₯¦
Researchers from the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) have found that women who follow a healthful plant-based diet may have a significantly lower risk of developing breast cancer.
π The research followed over 258,000 women across seven European countries for nearly 15 years. Women who ate more whole plant foods like fruits, vegetables, legumes, whole grains, nuts, and healthy fats had an 11% lower risk of breast cancer compared to those with lower plant food intake.
The key takeaway?
A diet rich in minimally processed plant foods doesnβt just support overall health - it may also play a role in breast cancer prevention.
