No more duffs.
No more skulls.

If you want to become a better chipper, focus on simple, repeatable fundamentals:

✔️ Slight weight favoring your lead foot
✔️ Narrow stance with the ball off back foot
✔️ Quiet wrists, letting your shoulders control the motion
✔️ Land the ball on the green and let it roll like a putt

Great chipping isn’t about fancy shots.
It’s about solid contact, smart landing spots, and confidence.

Clean contact builds trust.
Trust builds scores.

Second shot DoD, just like my boy
Pure focus. Pure trust. Pure golf.

As a disabled coach living with vertigo and tremors, days on the course aren’t always easy, but moments like this are exactly why I keep showing up. I may not swing it the way I used to, but I still love being out there coaching, caddying, reading shots, and helping players find their best swing.

Golf has a way of leveling the playing field. It gives purpose, perspective, and connection, on and off the course.

Grateful for the game.
Grateful for the people.
Grateful I still get to do what I love.

As we step into January 1, 2026, it is important to reflect on what 2025 truly represented for Warrior Golf Academy and for the Veterans, First Responders, and families we serve.

Real Impact in 2025

In 2025, Warrior Golf Academy:
• Engaged 1,000+ Veterans, First Responders, and family members through in person events, clinics, and outreach
• Delivered hundreds of free first lessons to Heroes, removing cost as a barrier to entry
• Hosted and supported 50+ events, activations, and community gatherings
• Reached tens of thousands through podcasts, social platforms, and shared stories
• Created structured career pathways into the golf industry including caddying, instruction, operations, and agronomy

Golf became the entry point. Community became the outcome.

Signature Events That Defined the Year

Key moments in 2025 showed how far this mission has come:
• Army 250th Birthday Golf Tournament at Fort Benning with GA MOAA, honoring service, tradition, and legacy
• Garmin Military Invitational, highlighting collaboration between elite brands and Veteran support
• Folds of Honor Tournament on Veterans Day, reinforcing education, remembrance, and opportunity

These were not appearances. They were extensions of the mission.

Community Over Numbers

What mattered most was depth, not just reach. Veterans who arrived guarded left with friendships. First Responders found calm and structure. Families reconnected. Juniors learned the game alongside Heroes. Volunteers and golf professionals stepped up beyond expectation.

Faith remained the anchor. Golf was the tool. Each other was the solution.

As we move into 2026, the mission remains unchanged. Continue growing. Continue healing. Continue turning Valor into Vocation through the power of God, Golf, and Each Other.

🌟 Harnessing Fear & Becoming the Change 🌟

💭 Fear. It used to hold me back, whispering doubts like:

"What if you’re not enough?"

"What if no one listens?"

"What if you fail?"

But here’s the truth I’ve learned: Fear isn’t the enemy. It’s a guide, a mirror, a challenge asking, “How badly do you want this?”

🚶‍♂️ The moment I stopped waiting for someone else to fix what was broken, whether in my life or the world, everything changed. I realized the power to make a difference starts with hashtag . If you see a path laid out in front of you as clearly as a putting line on the green, that’s your sign. 🏌️‍♂️

👉 Have faith that you’re exactly where you’re meant to be.

👉 Have faith in your ability to rise above the difficulties.

👉 Have faith that every struggle is shaping you into something stronger.

For me, that clarity gave me the courage to share my story, to step onto stages, press record on a podcast, and put myself out there. 🎙️

Was it scary?

Absolutely.

Did I doubt myself?

Of course.

But each time I shared, the fear shrank, and my purpose grew. 🌱

💪 We can’t shy away. We can’t cower. We have to face the difficulties head-on.

It’s through that fight we find growth, purpose, and the courage to keep moving forward.

So today, I challenge YOU:
🟢 Step up.
🟢 Take the shot.
🟢 Trust your path.

🎯 You don’t have to wait for others to make things happen. BE the change. Start the ripple effect. The world is waiting for YOU.

From coach and caddie to something even more meaningful — a friendship.

I’ve had the honor of coaching and caddying for Brian Kelley at the US Kids Golf Holiday Classic, and along the way, building a relationship I’m truly grateful for. Golf has a unique way of bringing people together, creating bonds that go far beyond the scorecard.

Sharing a few moments from our round on the Fazio Course at PGA National — a special place and an even better experience.

My name is Jonathan Sessa, PGA Coach, disabled Veteran, and Founder of Warrior Golf Academy, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

As we enter the busy golf season, I wanted to reach out personally to share an opportunity to support our mission. Warrior Golf Academy serves Veterans, Service Members, First Responders, and youth through free lessons, mentorship, community programs, and career pathways — all rooted in God, Golf, Community, and Military.

With our programs growing, we are in constant need of equipment for instruction, club repair, fittings, and training. We are currently accepting donations of any golf equipment your facility no longer needs, including:

• Lost & found clubs
• Broken, damaged, or old clubs
• Wedges, putters, and iron sets
• Shafts (broken or intact)
• Club heads
• Golf bags
• Rangefinders
• Accessories no longer in rotation

Items that are no longer usable for play can often be repaired, repurposed, or used for Veterans learning club building and maintenance — a valuable skill and career pathway.

Your support would directly help us continue offering free services to the Heroes and families we serve here in our local community.
