Now more than ever, we need to prioritize balancing our engagement with the news, with the shadow, with our fear/grief and rage…with intentional engagement with our pleasure, our connections, and our enjoyment.

Our pleasure and enjoyment system exists to replenish us so we can face our hardships. I know it can feel selfish or wrong to seek out goodness for ourselves while so many in the world are suffering - but we must in order to avoid spinning out in helpless despair and defeat.

Move your body, connect with your beloveds, savor time in nature, make time for rest and exercise and good food.

This is healthy and responsible. We can’t fight injustice from a dysregulated and depleted state. Overwhelm is a part of their strategy. At the point, pleasure and connection IS resistance.

Hello there!

Coming up tomorrow, you have the opportunity to experience my unique adaptation of the Somatic Breathwork Journey.

Peppered with pieces of my indigenous heritage and a deepening of somatic tools beyond the sole use of breath, this won't be like other Somatic Breathwork events you have done before.

This event has been heavily influenced by my focus and interest in vocal toning and has teachings around pelvic floor awareness and activation that comes from my work as Somatic S*xologist.

I am still soaking in the pleasure, grace and honor that it was to facilitate the beautiful Lunar New Year event with Kelly Lee.

Our space was sold out - and Ananda is a VERY big space indeed!

I am grateful to everyone who helped create this event and supported its birthing: Marcy Midnight, for supporting my work and creating an incredible space for me to share my heart's treasures at Ananda Yoga Space.

Kelly Lee - who is such a powerhouse of wisdom, playful authenticity, and a truly gifted musical artist. She was easy to work with, professional and on point, and meticulous in the space she holds.

And to all those who showed up and participated....my gratitude to you for choosing to show up and trust in my teaching.

When things are hard, painful, unjust and sad - we come together to tend to our hope. To make bridges, to make connections - to ourselves, and to each other. We resource each other, we hold each other up, we heal together....and together, our power is greater than we can imagine.
