We had stopped at this bridge twice before each time we floated down the river. I just hung out and cheered my friends on. Honestly I didn’t feel the pull to jump.

When I thought about jumping today, I knew that the fear was the reason that was making me not want to jump. I felt the urge and wanted to jump, but my fear was telling me not to. That’s how I knew that today was the day.

My beautiful sweet friend said she would jump with me. I hopped over the ledge and stood, staring down about 12 feet to the river.
All the butterflies came in. Clammy pits.
I could barely feel my legs. I was so terrified.

it’s wild how I watched 20 people, jumping and be completely fine, but the fear felt so overwhelming.

I felt the urge to hop back over the ledge and just bow out. I’ll just hold other people’s glasses and backpacks 🤣 it’s cool.

I told her I was super terrified and she said “let’s hold hands. You can do this.”

my mind kept telling me not to do it and as my anxiety increased, she started our countdown.

And I jumped.

I felt my stomach in my throat as I was falling through the sky, and then I hit the water. I popped back up, looked around, and she was waving at me to start swimming back to the shore before the river just carried me along past where you hop out.

HOLY. TALITO.
I felt invincible. So proud. Ecstatic. Like I could do anything.

I probably had 5 million thoughts over the course of those five minutes of preparation telling me not to jump. 5 million reasons why I shouldn’t do it.
5 million reasons why I wasn’t brave enough.
And then I did it.

You get to choose what choices you make.
You get to choose if you speak up & share that idea.
You get to choose if you text that new friend for coffee.
You get to choose if you sign up for that Pilates class.

Not your thoughts.
YOU.

HAPPY INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY🌞

There are few things I can say have genuinely changed my life & yoga is one of them.

Yoga has taught me how to get out of my head.
Yoga has taught me how to feel safe in my body.
Yoga has taught me how to breathe through difficulty.
Yoga has taught me how to slow it all down.
Yoga has taught me how to be present.
Yoga has created a safe space for me to connect more deeply with God.
Yoga has taught me how to quiet everything so I can hear myself & God more clearly.

I’m eternally grateful for this beautiful lifestyle and practice.

And so grateful for for guiding me through my teacher training so I can share what I’ve experienced with others. ♥️

I recently became a registered yoga teacher & I’ve also been on my own journey of managing anxiety, ADHD, people pleasing & codependency over the last decade as well.

When clients come to me and tell me they want to journal more, there’s so many different directions we can go in.

My first question is what is your intention with journaling? What do you want to get out of it?

That can guide what types of prompts we want to use your regular journaling practice.

MARCH CELEBRATIONS 🌻 This morning I sat down with my coffee and my French toast. I pulled out my journal and began to just brain dump all of the things I’m celebrating from this month.

A FEW OF THE BIG ONES:

•walking almost every day
•going to either yoga or strength training 3-4 days a week
•consistently asking myself how I’m doing, what I need & honoring whatever comes up by following through on it
•feeling stronger than ever in hearing my own inner knowing & my voice
•feeling stronger than ever in hearing God’s voice & nudges
•growing my trust that I am divinely supported, guided & protected in every moment - that it’s not all on me & that I can trust the unfolding
•went to a fun ladies bouldering group where I didn’t know anyone
•tried a new hiking spot (the one in the pic) even though I ended up turning around about a mile in because it was snowy & slushy and un-hikable🤣
•had my first legit branding photoshoot & had so much fun
•applying to volunteer at a yoga fest right outside of a stunning national park & paying deposits to save my spot

I’m devoting myself to this practice more than ever - taking the time to pause and to celebrate the magic that’s happening in me & my life, right now.

If you’re anything like me, it’s so easy to forever be focusing on the big vision and all of the goals and all the things that you still need to do, I’ve realized that that list will just continue on forever and I’m re-devoting myself to celebrating right where I am, the magic that’s happening right now and how far I’ve come.
