Our physical therapists are committed to movement - for patients and themselves.

Paul Morrison, one of our physical therapists, stays active as a triathlete. This weekend, he will compete in IRONMAN 70.3 Boise, rounding out 3 full Ironmans and 21 half Ironmans. His days are full of fitness, family and full days of back to back patients.

While training is important, family comes first. He’s up early and to bed late, squeezing in workouts around morning and evening time with his wife and two young children. “I don’t want to take away time from my kids and family,” he said. “Sometimes you miss the workout, and that’s okay.”

Keep an eye out for Paul and our Saint Alphonsus colleagues at this weekend's race!

Be sure to stop by and say hi.

Service. Education. Innovation. Leadership.

We believe the Vituity providers at our Boise, Nampa, Eagle, and Ontario Emergency Departments exemplify these values.

Join us in congratulating two such Vituity physicians, who were recognized at Vituity’s national Spring Symposium - Dr. Dan Houseman, awarded the Brilliance in Education award, and Dr. Travis Marshall, awarded the Brilliance in Leadership award.

Their leadership and dedication to patients in our Emergency Departments inspires us all to lead and serve with purpose and compassion.

They went above and beyond!

This week, Shane Allen and Carol Lunt were awarded the Patriotic Employer Award by the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, being recognized for their extraordinary support of employees serving in the National Guard or Reserve.

The award is uniquely meaningful, with the nomination coming directly from a service member and colleague.

Army Reserve First Lieutenant and Saint Alphonsus colleague Payton Lopez nominated them sharing, "Carol and Shane both foster a workplace environment that values service and flexibility to ensure that I am able to balance my civilian career and military obligations and I am supported without hesitation. I'm thankful to have them as leaders and for Saint Alphonsus as a whole."

As a health system, we were proudly presented a Statement of Support, which is an affirmation of our commitment to supporting our employees who serve.

Join us in congratulating Shane and Carol in the comments!
