Hey everyone, I hope you are all doing well and staying cool in this heat! I wanted to give a little update on where I have been and the future of my biz. I am currently preparing to welcome our second child into the world and have decided that I will take the remainder of the year off from massage. I hope to start back up sometime in 2022, but do not have a definite date in place yet. Have a great rest of the summer!

LER recognizes that for aspiring IBCLCs, one of the greatest obstacles to entering the field is financial.

We also know that there aren’t nearly as many Black IBCLCs as there needs to be.

As a part of our continued commitment to increasing diversity in the field, Lactation Education Resources is proud to announce our Rising Tide Lactation Equity Scholarship program, which is designed to remove the financial burden of pursuing the IBCLC credential.

In addition to our existing scholarships, we are adding start-to-certification support for two aspiring Black IBCLCs, from lactation training to clinical hours to exam fees. For one awardee, health science coursework will be offered through Walden University.
