In the legal profession, the ability to communicate with precision and composure is essential- not only in the courtroom, but in negotiations, client interactions, and workplace dynamics. This session focuses on the art of de-escalation through strategic communication, equipping you with tools to manage conflict, reduce tension, and foster constructive dialogue in high-pressure legal environments. You will leave with actionable strategies to apply in your daily work, whether managing a contentious deposition, guiding a distressed client, or resolving internal team conflict. This is no just about avoiding confrontation— it’s about leading with confidence, empathy, and control.

Charcuterie and beverages will be provided.

✨🍦 The Fifth District IWL Chapter teamed up with the Fifth District Bar Association for a sweet end-of-summer Ice Cream Social!

Even though the event had to move indoors due to weather, that didn’t dampen the fun. Members of the bench and bar came together to connect, enjoy some ice cream, and strengthen community ties.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this event such a success! 💙
