My entry in the Lovebird holiday recipe contest! All the voting is happening over on the Instagram post. It's totally AIP elimination compliant, Paleo friendly, refined sugar and dairy free...But best of all it's ridiculously easy because the food processor does most of the work.

Every comment, like, save and share counts for a vote. Go vote here: https://www.instagram.com/p/CXl7aIYuc1c/?utm_medium=copy_link

I’m seriously in shock. While brainstorming on my entry for the Lovebird Bakeoff the idea kept coming back to my mind that I needed to stick to something that is completely AIP, because the holidays can get pretty lonely when you are foregoing all things processed foods, especially sugars.

I can't believe I forgot to make these AIP waffles a static post in my feed. The recipe is live on unapologeticallyaip.com and through the link in my profile. They're amazingly crispy and reheat better than your average toaster waffle.
Bonus points if you make extra and turn them into stuffing!

It's up! Got two recipes for you knocked out while Stella napped.

Totally AIP Stuffing! Coming at you later today a totally grain free, gluten free Paleo friendly stuffing (or dressing, whatever you call it in your neck of the woods)

It's loaded up with veggie goodness and soaked in chicken bone broth, plus it tastes like Stove Top all grown up.

Stuffing, especially leftover stuffing) was my favorite part of the Thanksgiving dinner. Pie is in its own class here. What is your favorite Thanksgiving food?

You asked, we answered. Mashed potatoes but make em AIP. Linked in stories!

The full post is over on the blog and goes through selecting white sweet potatoes, alternates and of course cooking instructions that will get you the least "sweet potato" tasting sweet potatoes for all of you unable to tolerate nightshade.

Did you know sweet potato is actually a vine in the morning glory family? They're often sold with spring annuals at garden centers because they have a vine with bright colored leaves that looks nice in planters. Not all varietals are edible, but it's super easy to grow your own by plucking off the "slips" that sprout from untreated sweet potatoes!

New recipe up on the blog. Completely elimination phase friendly quick bread recipe just in time for fall. Pumpkin, yep. Apple cinnamon, you got it. Banana, of course. One recipe waiting for you to choose your own adventure!

Bonus recipes in the post too for this crazy delicious streusel topping and an AIP pumpkin pie spice.

(Second pic is a pumpkin gingerbread loaf, made by substituting iron and mineral rich molasses for maple syrup. My kids devoured it and it's not even so-sweet-it-could-be-called-cake.

Not but if you've reintroduced eggs I solidly recommend giving home made mayo a try. It's so easy you might never buy the store bought stuff again.

I love to make my mayo with avocado oil (no junk oils here baby!) and farm fresh eggs from my friends over at Rich's Chicks. Knowing I'm sourcing quality ingredients brings me piece of mind.

Why pay a mint for mayonnaise when you can make it cheaper and tastier at home with only a few ingredients that you control the quality of. You can make several batches of homemade mayo in a few minutes for less than it will cost you for one jar of the store bought avocado oil mayonnaise.

I know it's been a hot minute since I posted a fully elimination friendly recipe, for all of you craving peanut sauce- I've got your back! This no-nuts version of peanut sauce is perfect for your next satay or spring roll.

I know it sounds crazy to call this a peanut-free peanut sauce, but sometimes the shoe fits. For all of my peanut avoidant friends who are also eliminating tree-nuts and craving that peanutty flavor that is so ubiquitous to southeast Asian cuisine I’ve got just the recipe for you! I haven’t yet ...

What a weekend! It was jam packed with farmers market fun and finds, but when I got home I was ready to be home, cozied up in front of the fireplace (even if it is electric) I was cold to the bone, a little damp and ready to enjoy a warm meal. The sooner I got cooking, the sooner I could get cozy!

This roasted radish and mushroom salad with barley and mustard pan sauce comes together super quick, like less time than it takes to put away your farmers market goodies quick! Good and good for you!

Radishes are one of the first things to appear at market and Theresa of J. Dozier Farms was so kind as to bring me a ton of their big beautiful radishes which I paired with some stunning oyster mushrooms from Groves Country Mushrooms. I didn’t have any fresh herbs on hand, but I always love an herby flavor so I immediately reached for a big ol spoonful of Dill Mustard from Wagner's Idaho Mustard in addition to a bit of Honey from Oasis and my trusty pepper grinder blend from Pinch of Idaho ( which for the record I put on anything that needs seasoned ) Honestly, if I wouldn’t have been so cold and tired by the time I got home I would have served it with some roasted chicken from The Idaho Pioneer Farm or a juicy pork chop from Hipwell Ranch, so I’m glad I made enough to serve as a side dish for a few meals!

There’s still a few good weeks of early season radishes left, pick up what you need to make this recipe next week from the fine vendors at the Nampa Farmers Market.
