“He is 85 and insists on taking his wife’s hand everywhere they go. When I asked him why his wife kept looking away, he responded, ‘because she has Alzheimer's.’ I then proceeded to ask him, ‘Will your wife worry if you let her go?’ He then replied, ′She doesn’t remember anything, and she doesn’t recognize me anymore. It’s been years since she last recognized me.’ Surprised, I said, ‘And you have continued to guide her every single day even though she doesn't recognize you?’ The elderly man smiled and looked into my eyes and said, ′’she may not know who I am, but I know who she is, and she is the love of my life.’ ❤️

About the Owners:
After years of searching for the right opportunity, Terri and John purchased the Boise and Spokane offices of Havenwood Caregiver Services in 2005. Having lived in Spokane for several years before moving to Boise, they believed it was a wonderful opportunity to give back to both communities. The business was a perfect compliment to Terri’s passion of helping seniors and their families with the aging process and helping make a positive impact on individuals lives. They both soon discovered it was also a great opportunity to help, mentor and support caregivers, a group that is often overlooked and forgotten. In 2014, another office was opened in Gooding, Idaho, a community outside Twin Falls.
Prior to working at Havenwood, Terri graduated from the University of Idaho and began her career as a CPA. She believes being respectful, honest and ethical is the best approach to dealing with the challenges we face. John also graduated from the University of Idaho and his background includes being the President of IST and CFO of Buckeye Beans & Herbs.
Our mission is to provide care for seniors, disabled individuals and those in need. We care about each family and client. We tailor our services and schedules to meet your needs. Our caregivers are screened, have full background checks, trained and are supervised to ensure they provide the best care available.
