Our renewed commitment to you begins today.

Nobody asks for a hard diagnosis. To take on relentless pain.

To face the kind of moment that changes everything.

But we do.

At Saint Alphonsus, we don’t flinch in the face of impossible.

We meet it head-on—with sharp minds, steady hands, and a team that knows
how to carry the weight.

We show up for the moments that test you. For the long recoveries. The
sleepless nights. The questions without easy answers.

Because everyone in our care deserves more than just medicine.
They deserve to be seen.

Heard.

Fought for.

We don’t run from the hard stuff. We were built for it.

So bring it.

Check out all our teams from Boise to Baker City who showed up last week to rally around our work ahead.

It’s back!

The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation returns for the Boise Take Steps event, a walk to raise funds and accelerate research for those living with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).

The mile-long walk will be held Saturday, October 4 at 10:00 a.m., beginning at Veterans Memorial Park.

Jennifer Perkins, Colorectal PA, and the Colon and Re**al team at Saint Alphonsus, are passionate about the race and were instrumental in bringing it back to Boise.

Last year after inquiring about activities for IBD patients in Idaho, Jennifer found that there hadn’t been a walk of this kind in more than 10 years. She then began working to make one possible through the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation.

“As a colorectal PA, I see firsthand what these patients go through. It broke my heart to realize there wasn’t an in-person event in Idaho where this community could come together for support and connection. That’s why I wanted to do my part in creating this space – for the patients who mean so much to me.”

The race is now in its second year.

Reflection is an important part of our daily work.

As a health system, we regularly join in reflections as a way to center ourselves, enhance the quality of care provided to patients, and continuously develop as healthcare professionals.

Yesterday, we had the privilege of joining together to reflect on, celebrate, and bless the new Nampa Family Medicine Residency program and clinic.

The program, created in partnership with Mountain States Institute for Graduate Medical Education and Research (MSI), is designed to address provider shortages and improve long-term access to care in the Treasure Valley.

Have you ever heard of diverticulitis?

It’s more common than you think—and one local physician is helping shine a light on what it means for your gut health.

Saint Alphonsus Colon and Re**al Surgeon Dr. Sheev Dattani recently shared insights into this often misunderstood digestive condition—what causes it, how it’s treated, and why early detection matters.

Learn more about the signs and symptoms, and how you can support your digestive health.
