Anxiety attacks can happen when your body is exhausted from an all-nighter, when an assignment or a test causes you to panic, and many other triggers. They can be decreased by awareness of what causes you stress and learning skills that deescalate your panic response.

Just a few things chronic anxiety causes:

- Panic attacks
- Trouble breathing
- Intrusive thoughts
- Constant guilt
- A constant feeling of dread
- Nightmares
- Insomnia
- An inability to leave the house

It’s not just a now and then thing. It’s all the time.

Our Story

Our story, like most, did not begin when we enrolled at Boise State. In fact, nobody really knows when it began. Perhaps it was in a broken home, or perhaps not. Perhaps it was in the bottom of a bottle, or perhaps not. Perhaps it was nothing more than a chemical imbalance in the brain, or perhaps not.

My story began in the bed of a hospital I don’t remember ever going to. It began with a feeling, a small ember inside willing me to go on. A feeling that my life was far from where I wanted to be. A desire to get better. Not just for me, but for everyone struggling.

It started off as an inkling of an idea, an idea to create a better world. A value in my core to make this world a slightly better place than how I found it. To help one person. And then two. Then four. Then...who knows.
